Tania Curry serves as a Project Manager for Third Sector bringing a rich background in strategy development, public policy, and community relations.
Prior to joining Third Sector, Tania spearheaded a county-wide workforce development initiative, supported by The Commit Partnership and Dallas Regional Chamber, seeded by a $7M corporate grant across Dallas County aimed at doubling living wage attainment. Additionally, she led a consultancy in Dallas for the development and execution of an opportunity youth design summit. In collaboration with the Aspen Institute and Communities Foundation of Texas, Tania facilitated the summit to coalesce a diverse set of community stakeholders around a common vision, laying the groundwork for a DFW-based backbone uplifting opportunity youth.
Tania has forged a robust career spanning education, healthcare, and human rights. Her efforts have been instrumental in advocating for equitable access to healthcare and public education in state legislatures. Specifically, she has championed initiatives to secure additional funding in state budgets, ensuring appropriations that enhance patient and student access to essential healthcare services and high-quality education. Tania's commitment to equity and social justice is reflected in her strategic advocacy and collaborative approach to advance systems change.
A native Texan, Tania holds bachelors and masters degrees in public affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas. Outside of her professional obligations, Tania is deeply engrained in her local community as an advocate for public education and serves as the co-chair for Reading Partners North Texas. Tania's work is characterized by a holistic approach that integrates diverse fields to create sustainable and impactful change. Her expertise lies in bridging strategy with community needs and driving initiatives that promote equity, economic empowerment, and social justice.
