Naiyolis is a Project Manager based in Houston with a decade of experience advancing cross-movement efforts in the social sector. Her professional journey is rooted in an unwavering commitment to amplifying initiatives that empower BIPOC communities. She excels in leading projects within both mainstream and community-led organizations, with expertise in effective project management, strategic policy advocacy, capacity building, and partnership cultivation. Naiyolis is skilled in fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality outcomes through a racial equity lens.

Prior to joining Third Sector, Naiyolis served as a community organizer, social impact strategist, and program manager for various organizations, including the ACLU of Texas and The Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project (BLMP). There, she co-led local coalitions, innovative projects, and policy campaigns on immigrants’ rights, LGBTQIA+ issues, and transformative justice. Through her project management experience, Naiyolis supported community leaders, grassroots organizations, and advocates with long-term campaign strategies to disrupt systemic racism and reunite families. She spearheaded a legal defense fund campaign that secured a $2 million investment by Harris County and led the Texas Black Migrant Ecosystem (TBME), addressing the power-building needs of Black migrant communities across Texas.

Naiyolis' passion for social justice is rooted in her intersecting identities as a migrant queer woman of color. She enjoys jazz, nature walks, poetry, podcasts, and creating lip care products. Naiyolis holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston, specializing in political social work.
