Third Sector and Partners Selected for PFS Projects in Illinois and New York
Following competitive procurements, Third Sector and its service provider partners have been selected for Pay for Success projects in Illinois and New York. We are thrilled to work with these innovative and results-driven organizations to serve their communities!
The State of Illinois awarded one Pay for Success contract to increase support for at-risk youth involved in both the child welfare and juvenile justice systems in Illinois. Third Sector will work with One Hope United, in partnership with the Conscience Community Network, to provide community alternatives to institutional care for these dually involved youth. The project will be based on an set of interventions that aims to improve placement outcomes and reduce re-arrests. Illinois is the first state to implement Pay for Success to improve child welfare outcomes, as well as the first to partner with a network of community providers for service delivery. The Conscience Community Network is a collaboration of seven service providers with deep ties to the Illinois community and over 741 years of experience serving youth in Illinois: Lawrence Hall Youth Services, Maryville Academy, OMNI Youth Services, One Hope United, SGA Youth & Family Services, UCAN and Youth Outreach Services.
New York State announced four finalists for Pay for Success projects in the state, including Hillside Children's Center. Hillside's proposed PFS project will focus on the Intensive Community Asset Program (I-CAP) in Onondaga, Monroe and additional upstate New York counties. I-CAP serves youth at risk for placement into high-cost and developmentally damaging institutions by providing community-based alternatives for judges and probation officers. The four finalists will enter into negotiations to launch Pay for Success project with the state pending budget approval. Third Sector partnered with Hillside for the procurement process and will continue to work closely with them in the contracting phase to support deal construction and financial arranging.
