Before joining Third Sector, Alexander served as a Senior Policy Associate at the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW), where he led strategy and implementation efforts within the Federal, State, and Local Systems Change Team. In this role, he managed an array of projects that involved drafting and supporting economic and workforce development strategic plans and conducting program evaluations for community development programs in states across the country.
Alexander began his career as a Staff Assistant for U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, conducting policy analysis on economic and education issues. He later became a Policy Manager at Jobs for the Future (JFF), managing projects on innovative financing tools, racial equity, and youth education and employment, contributing to numerous research briefs and policy reports.
He holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and is pursuing his Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Urban Policy from Columbia University. Outside of work, Alexander enjoys trying his hand at cooking diverse cuisines, traveling, and exploring new places.
