Rachel is an Associate based in New Jersey. Prior to joining Third Sector, Rachel participated in a national pilot project with the North American Food Systems Network. In this role, she facilitated diverse stakeholders’ self-assessment of their local food system to foster community resilience and food sovereignty in Southern New Jersey.
Before this project, Rachel worked with the New Jersey Food Democracy Collaborative on policy research, advocacy, and coalition-building work. She has helped lead focus groups addressing food waste diversion priorities that informed policy recommendations for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
Rachel graduated cum laude from Stockton University with a Bachelor’s in Sustainability, a concentration in Policy & Economics, and a minor in Political Science. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading, taking care of her houseplants, and spending time outdoors.
