Merlyne is a Project Delivery Manager based out of Houston. With extensive experience in program management and agile methodologies, Merlyne is deeply committed to delivering successful projects and fostering stakeholder collaboration from a DEI lens within the nonprofit sector.

Prior to joining Third Sector, Merlyne leveraged her program management expertise and understanding of human behavior to lead a team through change management and continuous improvement, which led to impactful employment and self-efficacy outcomes for low-wage earners. While currently residing in Houston, her previous work in community agencies in Boston laid the foundation for cultivating relationships and promoting equitable outcomes for under-resourced groups. Merlyne also spearheaded the development of the Youth Point curriculum, a vocational training program at Justice Resource Institute (JRI), and facilitated the training cohort.

Fluent in Haitian Creole, Merlyne’s passion for social justice is rooted in her Haitian heritage. She embraces a philosophy of work-life balance and finds joy in 90s music, dance, photography, and caring for her cat, Priest. Merlyne holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Emmanuel College and a Master's in Macro Social Work from Boston College, specializing in nonprofit management.
